As a Maintenance Technician in our Facilities Department, you will be instrumental in performing preventative and/or corrective maintenance on manufacturing and site equipment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment to identify issues and plan appropriate actions. Working in a team environment, you will coordinate with external vendors for electrical, refrigeration, plumbing and other contractors as well as maintain accurate preventative maintenance, asset and work order documentation.
To succeed in this role, you will use your experience and knowledge of equipment repair, maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting, and have the ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings. Your proven ability to work on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative will be essential. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) and will be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products. A working knowledge of programable logic controller (PLC) is an asset. This role will support our 24-hour operation with rotational day/afternoon shifts and on-call ability for night shift.
The anticipated base compensation for this position is $54,000 – $64,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base compensation offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
