Senior Systems Analyst – Full Time, Permanent

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Information Systems (IS), the Senior Systems Analyst role is to provision, manage, monitor, and decommission cloud services, and requires additional knowledge and experience around technologies and techniques for automating provision and management of infrastructure in a distributed environment. You will manage computer software systems and network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications. You will also participate in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance is consistent with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Do:Implementation and Management of Systems:
- Develops, implements and maintains policies, procedures, and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard best practices.
- Manages and maintains essential IT operations and infrastructure, including operating systems, networks, security tools, applications, endpoints, cloud infrastructure & systems.
- Manages the relationship with service providers and implementing partners acting as the key technical resource responsible for the integration points between PaaS platforms.
- Designs, implements, and tests disaster recovery plan for PaaS infrastructure.
Ongoing Business and Project Subject Matter Expertise:
- Deploys, manages, and maintains all security systems and their corresponding or associated software, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, and anti-virus software.
- Writes functional requirements/specifications documents.
- Works with 3rd party on SIEM monitoring and updates.
- Recommends, schedules and applies fixes, security patches, disaster recovery procedures, performs security improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases.
- Ensures the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance with business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Performs network and security audits and test routine system backups and restores.
- Practices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
- Develops, documents, and maintains policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
IT Support:
- Anticipates, mitigates, identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware and software problems in a Microsoft based environment. Escalates incidents as necessary.
- Manages end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
- Oversee laptop hardware refurbishment and logistics for a Canada-wide remote workforce.

Experience You Bring:
- 7-10 years of overall IT experience including extensive experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure, Salesforce and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Broad hands-on knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, data encryption, and other industry-standard techniques and practices.
- Experience with back-up and restore of all critical resources including mailboxes, servers, and data in cloud.
- Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
- Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Good understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite.
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, subnetting, and routing.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy and protection practices and laws.
- In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems.
It Would be a Bonus if You Have:
- Experience with operations of MDM solutions such as Intune.
- Experience in the charitable/non-profit sector.
- Experience with Data Protection and Privacy compliance, PowerShell Scripting.
What We Offer:
- Full time annual salary of $90,000-100,000 (dependent on experience).
