Open Door Group is a CARF-accredited, not-for-profit organization and registered charity providing employment services to thousands of individuals a year across Canada. We work with all individuals who are interested in preparing for, finding, and keeping meaningful employment. In addition to employment services, we provide unique support programs for individuals living with mental illness in Vancouver and Kamloops.

We are looking for an impactful leader to join our team as an Associate Program Director (APD). This is a remote opportunity for someone with a passion for driving performance through exemplary leadership. As an APD you will develop and support high performing teams throughout different regions.
Responsible for achieving operational success of local programs and services, you will deliver timely response to government inquiries and in organizing, coordinating, participating, and reporting on local marketing and employment engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies/activities leading to a culture that motivates, empowers, engages, and respects employees and that leads to the development and maintenance of high performing cohesive teams.

Act as subject matter expert in government policy/requirements and in client/candidate engagement.

Support staff in dealing with difficult customer interactions and ensure that each employee’s worksite follows ODG and government policy guidelines.

Hire, schedule, train, evaluate, develop, motivate, discipline, recommend termination, and supervise staff.

Direct and support staff in the implementation of new or changed policy, frameworks, processes, etc.

For direct reports, formally develop/monitor individual development plans.

Support in the preparation of annual business and/or project plans.

Identify and submit quarterly reports to the Program Director, COO, or CEO on product, service, supply chain, and distribution areas for improvement and innovation

Qualifications:
-
3-5 years’ experience in managerial and supervisory roles.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Social Science, Social Work, or similar.

Proven track record of successfully leading teams and achieving strategic objectives and targets.

Demonstrated experience in the development and maintaining high performance program delivery teams
-
Demonstrated experience in holding employees accountable and focused on delivering on results.
-
Demonstrated experience in customer service and customer relationship management.
-
Demonstrated analytical, planning, and organizational skills and experience.
-
Strong interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility to work effectively with leadership, staff, government officials, and the general public.

Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise reports.

Demonstrated ability to maintain administrative and client records.
Special Conditions of Employment

Required to pass a criminal history background and/or fingerprinting.

Must be able to work flexible hours when necessary.

Must have the ability to work on a computer for an extended period.

Must be open to occasional travel within British Columbia and the Interior region.

Occasional travel within Canada may be required.

As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Officer Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees working for Open Door Group must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
