The Logistics Manager will organize, schedule, and coordinate appropriate equipment and personnel for scheduled jobs. They will be required to receive calls from customers and the company’s field operations personnel, then identify the equipment that is required and dispatch the appropriate personnel and equipment to the job site. They are to have full knowledge of the company’s operations and equipment (primarily transport equipment) as well as applicable government regulations.
Responsibilities:

§ Strategically coordinate and dispatch transportation requirements to a job site
§ Receive calls from customers and field operation personnel
§ Discussing and negotiating shipping rates with product carriers
§ Setting up and maintaining schedules for inbound and outbound shipments
§ Monitor and review projects to ensure proper and efficient scheduling, including loads, personnel and equipment are being met
§ Monitor department's performance, prepare reports for senior management, and plan for changes to schedules and policies
§ Manage inventory tracking system
§ Recruit personnel and oversee their training
§ Working with other departments in the organization to implement logistical improvements
§ Assisting management team as needed
§ Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Experience & Skills:
§ 3-5 years of oilfield transportation coordinating or management experience
§ Well versed in Commercial Trucking/Transportation
§ Experience in coordinating transportation for water management and containment equipment an asset.
§ Highly motivated and able to work independently and part of a team
§ Strong communication and problem-solving skills
§ Able to work well under pressure
§ Experience training employees an asset
§ Demonstrated ability in organizing multiple priorities and follow-up
§ Must know and understand applicable government regulations, D.O.T. legislation
§ Strong Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office, Other
§ Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
§ Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
§ Ability to maintain confidential information
§ Class 1 driver’s license
§ H2S, CSO and First Aid
