Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and control of production activities as well as the supervision of a multidisciplinary team whose mandate is to produce a quality product within the required timeframe, in a context where quality, productivity and health & safety are paramount.
Ideally, the candidate should possess the following qualities:
- Manage the priorities of the production team according to the established production schedule;
- Supervise and coordinate all manufacturing activities (including customer order deliveries, shipping/receiving and production orders);
- Plan, organize and direct work teams and follow up on their performance while ensuring that performance is maintained and objectives are met;
- Ability to be hands on and actively participate in the production process as needed.
- Plan and conduct daily meetings with the production team;
- Manage the schedules of his staff and validate the data related to attendance reports (overtime, absence, vacation, illness, SST);
- Ensure the application and respect of the regulations and policies of the company (vacations, overtime, breaks...);
- Maintain the application of standard production methods established by the Quality and Continuous Improvement Department;
- Work closely with Quality and Continuous Improvement Department and ensure quality control in production;
- Participate in the optimization of methods, processes and layouts in order to improve productivity and quality;
- See to the effective resolution of disputes, complaints and conflicts within his team;
- Carry out annual evaluation meetings of the personnel under his/her supervision and conduct a mid-year follow-up of personal objectives;
- Actively participate in the recruitment activities of his staff;
- Promote responsible management of his group and work to develop the level of autonomy through staff training;
- Train staff on new methods and ensure that they are maintained (production, shipping, receiving, quality, repairs);
- Participate in monthly inspections and SST committee meetings as well as maintaining and following up on current policies;
- Plan the annual maintenance done on our equipment by external companies;
Qualifications
- College diploma or university degree;
- 3 to 5 years experience as a supervisor, foreman or production manager in a manufacturing environment;
- Ability to drive a forklift (or willing to follow training to obtain the permit);
- Previous experience working in an ISO9001 environment (an asset);
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, KAIZEN, 5S, 6 sigma, (an asset);
- Knowledge in Agriculture industry (an asset)
- Excellent organizational skills.

Sommaire du poste
Relevant de la directrice des opérations, le titulaire de ce poste est responsable de la coordination et du contrôle des activités de production ainsi que de la supervision d’une équipe multidisciplinaire dont le mandat est de fabriquer un produit de qualité dans les délais requis, dans un contexte où la qualité, la productivité et la santé & sécurité sont primordiales.
Idéalement, le candidat devrait posséder les qualités suivantes :
- Gérer les priorités de l’équipe de production en fonction de la cédule de production établie ;
- Superviser et coordonner toutes les activités de fabrication (incluant les livraisons des commandes client, l’expédition / réception et la production des ordres de fabrication) ;
- Planifier, organiser et diriger les équipes de travail et assumer le suivi tout en voyant au maintien du rendement, des performances et à l’atteinte des objectifs ;
- Planifier et effectuer des rencontres journalières avec l’équipe de production ;
- Gérer les horaires de son personnel et valider les données relatives aux rapports de présence (temps supplémentaire, absence, vacances, maladie, SST) ;
- Assurer l’application et le respect des règlements et politiques de l’entreprise (congés, temps supplémentaire, pause…) ;
- Maintenir l’application des méthodes standards de production établies par le département de qualité et d’amélioration continue ;
- Collaborer étroitement avec l’assurance qualité et s’assure du contrôle de la qualité en production ;
- Participer à l’optimisation des méthodes, procédés et aménagement dans le but d’améliorer la productivité et la qualité ;
- Voir aux règlements efficaces des différends, des plaintes et des conflits au sein de son équipe ;
- Procéder aux rencontres d’évaluation annuelle du personnel sous sa supervision et effectuer à la mi-année un suivi des objectifs personnels ;
- Participer activement aux activités de recrutement de son personnel ;
- Favoriser une gestion responsable de son groupe et travailler à en développer le niveau d’autonomie par la formation du personnel ;
- Former le personnel sur les nouvelles méthodes et s’assure du maintien de celles-ci (production, expédition, réception, qualité, réparations) ;
- Participer aux inspections mensuelles et aux rencontres du comité SST ainsi que du maintien et du suivi des politiques en vigueur ;
- Planifier la maintenance annuelle faite sur nos équipements par les compagnies externes ;
- Toutes autres tâches connexes.
Profil recherché
- Diplôme d’études collégiales ou diplôme d’études universitaires ;
- 3 à 5 années d’expérience en tant que superviseur, contremaitre ou directeur de production dans un environnement manufacturier ;
- Avoir déjà travaillé dans un environnement ISO9001 (un atout) ;
- Connaissance de la suite Microsoft Office ;
- Connaissance du Lean Manufacturing, KAIZEN, 5S, 6 sigma, (un atout);
- Connaissance dans le AG
- Excellentes compétences organisationnelles.
