Reporting to the IS/IT Manager, we are seeking a Business Data Analyst who can leverage their skills in data analytics and information systems to help us improve our business performance and processes. You will be responsible for identifying business needs and opportunities, conducting data analysis and reporting, and providing information systems solutions that align with our strategic goals.
The successful candidate will report to the IT/IS Manager and must have a strong understanding of program management as well as a technical background to engage in capability discussions with our Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain departments.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand their business objectives, challenges, and requirements;

Conduct data collection, cleansing, validation, and analysis using various tools and techniques such as SQL, Python, R, Excel, Power BI, etc.;

Generate insights and recommendations based on data analysis and present them to the management and relevant teams using clear and compelling visualizations and reports;

Evaluate the current information systems infrastructure, processes, and policies, and propose enhancements and optimizations based on best practices and industry standards;

Design, develop, test, and implement information systems solutions that meet the business needs and specifications using agile methodologies;

Design process solutions to reduce manual entry, paper forms, and opportunities for error;

Provide training, support, and documentation for the information systems users and stakeholders;
-
Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the information systems field;

Define and establish key performance indicators in collaboration with the IS/IT Manager;

Monitor and evaluate the performance, functionality, and security of the information systems solutions and ensure their alignment with the business goals;

Focus on business excellence by leading Dorigo to develop updated IT and IS strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Accounting, or related field;

Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Information Systems Analyst, or similar role;

Strong knowledge of data analytics concepts, methods, and tools such as data modeling, data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, etc.;

Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or R;

Familiar with information systems development and project management methodologies such as agile methodologies

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills;

Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

This position requires the individual to work in the office and must already reside in the Lower Mainland, BC.
