- Work Scope & Objective of Assignment:
- The Region of Peel is embarking to become a digital first government committed to continuously improving service delivery. Digitalization of services that meet client needs, are easy to use, and provide an enjoyable user experience and offer sound business improvement benefits.
- The Digital Peel program is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the Digital Services Roadmap - to implement technology modernization and end-to-end digital service delivery for the Region. This will include the delivery of a new website designed around services, single online portal access, and the digitization of 27 priority regional services.
- This role will be part of the team that will help the Region of Peel become a digital government.
- We are seeking a Salesforce architect with hands-on Development experience with a strong background in Salesforce.com application architecture, data and information, integration, code development, configuration, deployment, and administration. The position is expected to perform the responsibilities as a Salesforce Architect and Developer duties. The successful candidate will have a deep technical knowledge and expertise in Salesforce.com platform including Vlocity public sector foundation (PSF) framework and will have system-wide responsibility for design, development, configuration, integration, and customization on complex integrated projects.
- The successful candidate is also required to be involved in functional, technical and integration design, driving innovation and efficiency. The candidate will be expected to leverage knowledge of application development methodologies and other technologies to produce comprehensive solutions for clients’ business requirements and will be very
- comfortable supporting an AGILE approach to software development.

- The ideal candidate should have knowledge of Agile SDLCs, systems engineering and business process re-engineering. This motivated individual will be
- responsible for complete life cycles of key deliverables for the Salesforce.com initiatives. This candidate should naturally be able to provide operational efficiencies for our customers through creative problem solving using the Salesforce.com platform.
- Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and other teams to gather and understand requirements, translating them into effective technical solutions.
- Architect and design scalable and maintainable Salesforce solutions that adhere to industry best practices and coding standards.
- · Hands-on development, and implementation of complex Salesforce solutions that align with business objectives leveraging declarative tools, Public Sector Foundation (PSF), Apex, and Lightning components.
- Design and develop Omnistudio/Omniscript web forms using Vlocity public sector foundation (PSF) framework.
- Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects to align technical designs with overall platform architecture standards and principles.
- Ensure data security and compliance by implementing appropriate access controls, data sharing rules, and security configurations.
- · Design and execute data migration tasks.
- Lead technical design sessions and code reviews, ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of developed solutions.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems, leveraging APIs, middleware, and web services.
- Design, develop, execute and debug test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing to ensure quality and reliability of developed solutions.
- Comprehensive documentation of technical designs, customizations, configurations, and development processes for future reference.
- Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, offering innovative solutions and recommendations.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other developers, sharing best practices and fostering a collaborative learning environment.

- Mandatory Qualifications:
- Years of Experience: A minimum of six years of practical development experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, including work on medium to large-scale complex Salesforce initiatives.
- Salesforce Architecture Governance and Best Practices:
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce platform features, architecture, security, and functionalities, including customizations, configuration, and integration capabilities.
- Understanding of Salesforce development best practices, coding standards, and security considerations to ensure a robust and maintainable solution.
- · Configuration and Customization:
- Using declarative tools such as Process Builder, Flows, Workflow Rules, and Validation Rules
- Lightning Framework: building modern and responsive user interfaces within the Salesforce Lightning Experience Framework.
- Developing custom code using Salesforce's programming language, Apex, and creating custom user interfaces using Visualforce.
- · Public Sector Foundation (PSF): Solid understanding and experience working with Public Sector Foundation (or Vlocity) framework including PSF data model.
- · Integration Skills: Ability to integrate Salesforce with other systems using APIs, web services, middleware, and ETL tools.
- · Data Management: Experience with data modeling, data migration, and data cleansing techniques within the Salesforce ecosystem.
- · Testing and Debugging: Ability to write unit tests, perform code reviews, and debug issues effectively to ensure the quality and reliability of the developed solutions.
- · Deployment and Release Management: Experience in code migration and understanding of the release management process, including sandbox management, deployment strategies, and change management.
