The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales and fulfilling all contractual obligations through the efficient management of their inventory to support accounts and customer relations. The selected individual will work under the guidance of an Outside Sales Representative and in tandem with other teams to achieve departmental sales goals and strategic plans to provide leading customer service. Success in achieving these goals, developing knowledge in the industry, and perfecting industry best practices can lead to many further sales opportunities.
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

- Consistently meet or exceed the service levels expected by our valued clients.
- Prioritize swift responses to customer inquiries and issues.
- Foster regular and proactive communication with clients to anticipate their needs and offer tailored solutions.
- Implement effective daily inventory management practices to align with the company's inventory targets. This includes but is not limited to MRP reviews, addressing aged and obsolete inventory, managing finished goods, and adhering to FIFO principles.
- Ensure meticulous management of account deliveries, maintain optimal in-stock positions, monitor outstanding orders, and oversee finished goods on the production floor.
- Perform accurate data entry tasks, encompassing activities like sales orders, work orders, shipping orders, and release downloads.
- Collaborate seamlessly with all departments within Gatsteel, fostering effective communication.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail, striving for precision in all transactions.
- Take a proactive role in inventory management, collaborating with Purchasing, Account Managers, and Management to optimize inventory turnover and mitigate the presence of aged inventory exceeding 12 months.
- Effectively address and resolve obsolete or problematic inventory issues.
- Minimize waste in setup processes to maximize overall profitability.
Education and Industry Knowledge
- Possession of a College Diploma or University Degree.
- While not mandatory, educational background or practical experience in business and sales-related fields is preferred.
Technical & Business Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional internal and external customer service, emphasizing timeliness and quality.
