The Opportunity
The Facilities Management department is seeking a Locksmith. This position is responsible for the key control program and the proper function of all keyed entries, accessible doors; and, provision of keys and access implements on SAIT's campuses.
The Locksmith performs and oversees the following critical functions: service, update and support SAIT's master key hierarchy; identity management, creation and audit of end user accounts; cutting and recording of keys; updates and administration of GFMS lockbox hosted keysets; service, repair or replacement of mechanical mortise, rim, cylindrical locks and padlocks, electronic access control locks and associated hardware; complete preventative maintenance and annual inspection schedules for emergency lock devices, escape hatches and panic bars; liaise with internal partners, project and development teams and staff in identifying access needs.
