As a Carpenter you will have the opportunity to work on world class iconic art and architecture projects. You must be able to thrive in a busy working environment, be a committed team player with the ability to work independently, and lead projects as required.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience
- Familiarity with construction and/or custom fabrication processes
- A portfolio of work that may include high quality furniture, veneering or laminating, custom joinery, jog and template building or artistic woodworking
- Proficiency using an array of specialized power tools, machines, and hand tools
- Must be able to read and interpret shop and construction drawings.
- Experience with 3-axis CNC milling equipment as an asset.
- Artistic background an asset
- High attention to detail
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Motivated, hardworking and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player and safety oriented
- Standard personal tools required.
- Valid safety certifications recommended: Fall Arrest, WHMIS, First-Aid, Crane Operator Certificate, Forklift Operator Certificate recommended.
- Valid driver's license & own vehicle
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and completion of Work:
- Read and interpret drawings.
- Production of carpentry-related projects, both as finished pieces and sub-assemblies.
- Working from shop drawings to building one-off custom pieces in an array of materials.
- Assembly of custom pieces that require careful attention to detail.
- Building jigs and templates to support the needs of the other departments, as well as your own.
- Creating custom formwork for the architectural concrete department.
- Travelling to installs for work both locally and abroad.
- Adhering to production schedules, tracking efficiency and pro-actively estimating resource requirements to meet timelines.
- Acting as a mentor for those of lesser experience
Additional Duties lead:
- Understand project schedules, assign daily tasks to project crew.
- Actively manage project to ensure weekly targets are adhered
- Review Production Processes and Flow and provide feedback for improvement
Quality Control:
- Inspect task materials and ensure work is of acceptable quality as per requirements
Additional Duties lead:
- Inspect final product and signoff on assigned deliverable’s
Facility and Equipment Maintenance:
- Practice preventative maintenance programs for all tools and equipment. Report required maintenance issues to Production Lead.
- Execute Facility Housekeeping ensures all work areas are clean, tidy, and presentable during working hours.
Additional Duties lead:
- Accountable for all tools, equipment and property and ensuring maintenance, preventative loss and damage is avoided.
Safety Duties:
- Actively participate and engage in safety. Including SWP, safety audits, safety procedures and policies.
- Prepare and follow all lift Plans.
- Initiate company safety policies and relevant occupational health and safety legislation.
- Attend education programs as required.
- Be active in the planning and prevention of potential or actual dangers, how to isolate, prevent, or remove them.
- Follow results and recommendations from the investigation of accidents, incidents, potential losses, and property damage.

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
