About the role
Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), the HRBP provides guidance and advice on various Human Resources (HR) functions as well as strategic human capital initiatives and timely support in day-to-day HR activities to leaders and employees of the organization.

The seasoned HR professional will solve complex organizational challenges requiring data analysis and the development of innovative solutions to support and execute HR and the client’s organizational goals
They will work closely with client leaders to deliver HR initiatives and processes such as talent management, salary planning, performance management, promotion planning, and rewards & recognition to enable client groups to meet their business objectives
The HRBP will engage with employees to confidentially address concerns and provide support to leadership in addressing employee relations and organizational issues promptly
In collaboration with the HR team, this incumbent will ensure alignment of programs and policies with the strategic direction of the organization
This role will collaborate with HRBP leaders across Canada, and integrate with HR Centres of Expertise, to proactively deliver actionable human resource solutions to business opportunities
The HRBP participates in projects and initiatives in support of strategy and collaborates with other HR team members as required
This position will be a hybrid role with the flexibility of working from home, subject to business requirements.
What you bring to the role
This HR professional will have strong and diverse experience in HR along with strong leadership with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization. They will be respected for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients and a variety of stakeholders within the organization. Highly adaptable and able to recognize the need to be both operationally and strategically focused, the successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to provide timely advice while effectively managing their conflicting priorities. They will have demonstrated the ability to leverage tact and diplomacy when providing client guidance and applying best practices in HR management. In order to be effective in this role, the HRBP must consistently demonstrate the interpersonal skills necessary to interact with employees, including various levels of leadership with the capability to gain trust and respect of all levels.

Your practical, proactive approach allows you to contribute to the operational and organizational success of the organization. Success in the position requires a track record of excellent judgment, strategic thinking, influencing skills, and results orientation with experience in developing and executing HR strategy and HR initiatives. We are looking for someone who brings solutions through their analytical skills and in-depth knowledge in HR best practices.
Specifically, you bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business or Psychology or other related disciplines
10 years of prior experience as a HR Leader and Senior Generalist, and experience in Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Talent Management and/or Organization Development
5+ years of experience with providing counsel to leaders and stakeholders
Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French) is considered an asset
Demonstrated understanding of Federal and Provincial employment standards and labour laws
Ability to maintain company and employee confidentiality and handle sensitive proprietary information in an appropriate manner
Experience and comfort with working in large matrixed organizations
Relevant HR Designation is preferred.
Language Requirements in Quebec
Knowledge of the English language is required for this role as the position described in this posting requires the candidate to communicate every day with a virtual team outside Quebec as well as communicate with different members of the organization, clients and suppliers located outside of Canada. For engineering positions, the candidate must also be able to read or modify technical documents from our main clients and write technical documents for these same clients.
