Strategic Risk Solutions Inc (SRS), the world’s largest independent insurance company manager, is growing and looking for an accounting professional to join its servicing team. The successful candidates will have a CPA (or equivalent) and will work in a team to provide accounting and administration services for a portfolio of investment funds. This position will be based out of Halifax, NS with SRS Managers (Canada) Limited and will be predominantly remote.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Accurately process transactions in our accounting system to produce financial statements and Net Asset Values (NAV).

Prepare NAV packages and supporting schedules for review by the manager.

Assist in the audit process including producing all the audit deliverables.

Ensure all deliverables and client queries are met as stipulated in the management agreement.

Work with various internal teams such as compliance, regulatory reporting and treasury to ensure all internal and external deliverables are met.

Ensure all processes are performed in accordance with operational controls as stipulated in SOC1 and all relevant checklists are completed.

Perform the custody process including completing subscription and redemption documents, initiating payments and monitoring the money movements.

Liaise with investment managers, brokers, and custodians on day-to-day operational issues.

Assist in the implementation of a fund accounting system.
Attributes and Skills:
Accounting Designation and fund administration experience required.-
A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products is essential

Experience with Sun financial reporting and PAXUS fund administration systems would be an added advantage.

Self-motivation with the ability to work effectively as part of a team or on individually assigned tasks in a fast-paced environment where exceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills are essential

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
