As the Service Centre Representative you will provide face-to-face customer service related to Manitoba Public Insurance products, services (including claims related services) and policies, including selling and issuing these products and services. As the Service Centre Representative you will also process necessary transactions to meet customer needs, ensuring compliance with Manitoba Public Insurance business rules, and handles and balances funds.
Responsibilities:
- Issue, renew and/or update driver’s licences.

Communicate to customers regarding driver’s licence suspensions, including refuse to renew regulations, Graduated Driver Licensing/Driver Education Student Programs, requirements on all classes of driver’s licences and the Driver Safety Rating system.

Schedule test appointments and collect payment.

Issue, cancel, renew and/or update registration and insurance policies.

Counsel customers on insurance coverage options and additional coverage.

Interview customers applying for an Enhanced Identity Card or an Enhanced Drivers Licence.

Balance funds and inventory according to MPI cash collection/balancing procedures, including reconciling controlled inventory (plates, stickers, permits).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of customer service or business-related courses are a definite asset.

Three years of customer service and administrative office experience.

Previous experience in the automobile industry and working with MPI products and services is an asset.
