Job Title: Automation Technician
Position: Permanent full-time
Location: Scarborough, ON
Salary: $35-40/hr
Experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify the root cause, and implement timely repairs to minimize production disruptions.
- Maintain and troubleshoot automotive fixtures and equipment
- Keep PLC/HMI/Servo/Vision program up to date
- Read and interpret electrical schematics
- Assist in Robotics and IMM troubleshooting
- Perform other duties as required
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational education in automation, electrical engineering, or related field preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with programming and troubleshooting PLCs/HMI/motor controllers/Vision Camera
- Experience with programming and troubleshooting robots
- Experience in food manufacturing industry an asset
SKILLS:
- Excellent understanding of Automation, Robotic system
- Hands-on knowledge of industrial communication protocols
- Proven ability to solve complex problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate in word & spreadsheet programs
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills
