The Calgary Food Bank is hiring a Program Coordinator to join our Research and Client Services Team!
Position Summary: The Research and Client Services team is responsible for implementing, supporting, evaluating, and improving the programs and services offered at the Calgary Food Bank (https://www.calgaryfoodbank.com/programs/).
This position will seek opportunities for the growth of the Calgary Food Bank in the non-profit sector through program planning and reporting, partner training, consulting services, and partnership development and coordination. new program development, partnership initiation and consulting services be responsible for the coordination of assigned program and activity areas. AS well, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for the development and quality control of assigned Calgary Food Bank programs.
Primary responsibilities:

Seek out new program opportunities and create or modify programs and activities with a client-centric approach.

Provide leadership and direction to volunteers and staff ensuring consistency with the mission and vision of the Calgary Food Bank.

Act as a Calgary Food Bank representative to develop and maintain credible and meaningful relationships with other community agencies and representatives.
Tasks performed:

Data collection, management, analysis, and evaluation to plan, modify or cancel programs.

Orientation, supervision and training of volunteers and employees, as required.

Maintain and update contracts and agreements renewals.

Conduct program and environmental service gap assessments.

Analysis of financial information to assist in developing program budgets, resolving budget issues and discrepancies, and adjusting program planning as appropriate.

Prepare program descriptions, surveys, reports, write-ups, and work collaboratively to design marketing materials.

Assist with resolving client inquiries, issues, and complaints.

Communicate the partner organizations and internal stakeholders about program developments and changes.

Must be able to multitask and work in a very fluid and typically rapid-paced environment, usually juggling demands from multiple projects at the same time.

Education and experience required:

Degree in relevant field such as, Administration, Finance, Management or equivalent.

Demonstrated experience in creatively generating innovative ideas for systems’ improvement.

Proficient in a variety of computer applications including databases and the Microsoft 365 suite.
Working conditions and physical requirements:
This is a regular, full-time position. Working conditions are normal for an office environment and will require occasional trips within city limits. May be required to move up to 20 lbs. Must be willing to work flexible hours, as necessary.
