We are looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our team. The successful candidate should have engineering experience and background with a degree in a relevant engineering field from a college or university. The role will require a high level of understanding and experience in Mechanical Engineering and product lifecycle, of electromechanical systems. Involvement will be from the design stage through to the final product and will span across various departments within the company.

Maintain design and documentation for existing products

Work with Industrial designers on making ideas and concept designs into manufacturable parts

Work alongside the manufacturing team to ensure overall program quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved

Inspect and verify incoming parts for compliance with the design

Work with Injection molding tool designers to create final drawings

Understand/monitor cost and schedule

Build and test prototypes

Assist in the first production builds – Some travel may be required

Support sustaining work

We work in a fast-paced environment and, as such, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter and should be comfortable with working independently and taking ownership of projects

Bachelor’s/master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent

Exceptional 2D and 3D CAD software skills required (SolidWorks preferred)

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team (any overlapping experience is a plus)
