Job Summary:
Come work as a Leader, Anti Racism Leadership Development with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)
Reporting to the Regional Director, Anti-Racism, the Leader, Anti-Racism Learning and Education at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) oversees the design, development, evaluation, and continual refinement of a comprehensive anti-racism educational program for VCH staff and medical staff.
Collaborating closely with diverse partners, the Leader ensures that training materials are relevant, evidence-based, and resonate with all staff and medical staff. Beyond curriculum creation, this role actively facilitates interactive sessions, fostering reflection, dialogue, and skill-building among participants. Integral to VCH's commitment to fostering a culture of equity, the Leader continuously evaluates the training's effectiveness, adapts to emerging needs, and stays abreast of current research and best practices in the realm of anti-racism and equity training. This role will play a vital part in building a culture aligned with our values of caring for everyone, continuous learning, and striving for better results.
As a Leader, Anti Racism Leadership Development with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:

Design and actively lead and facilitate anti-racism leadership programs that engage leaders to model and become champions for anti-racism and progressive leadership and operational management

Translate leadership capabilities into expectations and competencies, developing a leadership competency model specific to anti-racism

Develops evaluation systems to ensure transfer of learning to the workplace

Provides senior advisory services and consultation to leaders throughout VCH utilizing strong communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence
-
Compiles anti-racism resources and educational materials to support leadership development. Advises leaders in effective strategies to support their staff

Maintains a listing of in-house mentors and resources that managers/directors can access for problem-resolution or advice

Coordinate with all Leadership Team Coaches and Advisors to ensure an integrated and consistent service delivery across all of VCH, enhancing the overall effectiveness of VCH Employee Engagement strategies

Manage resources, including budgets and personnel, ensuring that the anti-racism leadership development initiatives are well-supported and sustainable

Evaluate the return on investment of program service delivery and provide recommendations for program improvements

Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Minimum requirement of a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development, Adult Education, Business Administration or Leadership.

Certification in Training and Development, such as the Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) designation from the Institute for Performance and Learning or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience plus, five (5) to seven (7) years’ progressive experience in anti-racism and organizational development and management/leadership education roles.

Prior experience in health care or public sector organizations would be an asset.

Proven ability to influence, educate, and gain support of senior leaders for leadership development, the role leaders play in developing other leaders, and the activities needed to support effective leadership development.

Ability to create training that addresses the multi-dimensional aspects of discrimination.

Demonstrated ability to engage and interact effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, and intersectional backgrounds

Demonstrated expertise and experience with applying adult learning principles and best practices related to educational programming

Uses facilitation skills for effective dialogue, solution-finding, and conflict resolution

Commitment to staying updated on the latest research, trends, and best practices in anti-racism and diversity training
