Job Opportunity
HJR Asphalt is looking for a full-time HR Coordinator to join our team. The primary role of the HR Coordinator is to oversee the day-to-day transactional functions of our Human Resource Department. This position offers a variety of tasks relating to full-cycle onboarding & offboarding, compensation, benefits and policy development/implementation.
Job Duties
- Implement full-cycle recruitment processes including developing job descriptions, posting job ads, screening & interviewing candidates, and hiring employees
- Oversee employee onboarding and implement training & development initiatives
- Resolve employee issues in a timely manner to promote a healthy work environment
- Support employees in various HR-related topics regarding leaves, training, benefits, and compensation
- Assist with the development and implementation of company policies and internal procedures
- Manage employee vacation and time off tracking for seasonal and hourly employees
- Keep accurate records of employee data and maintain discretion with confidential information
- Offer support to management regarding compliance with current legislation

Who are you?
- 2 plus years’ experience in a Human resource role or similar position,
- Post-secondary education, preferably in Human Resources or a related field,
- Highly organized with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time well,
- Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills,
- Flexible and adaptable,
- Open and willing to learn new skills,
- Criminal record check
