Senior Data Management Analyst
Canada - Remote

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with implementation partner on all data migration and reporting needs.
- Work with Business Analysts and non-technical business users to understand their analytical needs and to help them effectively use the data and analytical tools that the team has developed.
- Design, develop, and support data warehouses for operational and business impact data.
- Troubleshoot client systems or data issues resulting from internal or external systems.
- Write extract, transform, and load (ETL) to automate routine data collection and reporting processes using a variety of traditional as well as enterprise-scale distributed data systems.
- Write and review technical documents, including requirements, schemes, design documents for existing and future data systems.
- Improve tools or automation systems through data analysis, technical expertise, and presentations to key stakeholders.
- Perform complex data analysis to derive insight from vast data stores.
- Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders on data cleansing and migration requirements.
- Review and approve data integration architecture and patterns.
- Utilize excellent communication skills to clearly articulate data driven presentations to audiences of all levels and across multiple functional areas.
- Oversee data cleansing and migration activities based on business requirements.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to perform smoke testing in production environment.
- Lead extraction, transformation, and load of legacy data into key business systems such as ERP, CRM, and other line of business applications.
- Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders to obtain the required data for migration.
- Define data quality standards and ensure compliance to internal and regulatory standards.
- Ensure digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses.
- Support configurations, development and integrations performed by the implementation partner.
- Navigate complex situations and influence across multiple product areas by leveraging leadership acumen.
- Lead the development and execution of data migration strategies and processes to ensure the accurate and complete migration of data from legacy applications to D365.
- Support data cleansing and reconciliation of data across different systems or entities.
- Develop data migration guidance and pre-configured templates to collect data.
- Program and maintain SQL scripts to meet data transformation loading requirements desired.
- Support project teams in technical demonstrations and conference room pilots to validate the technical design, verify gap assessments, and explore gap resolution options.
- Participate in sprint sessions and assist program manager in ensuring adherence by all implementation partners to program timelines.
- Liaison with technology vendors to support implementation efforts.
- Provide strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into requirements.
- Work across multiple functional projects to understand data usage and implications for data migration.
- Assist in designing, planning, and managing the data migration process.
- Prepare data migration plans including migration risk, milestones, quality, and business sign-off details.
- Communicate project status at scheduled meetings and serve as a key resource for technical information on the project.
- Perform data migration audit, reconciliation, and exception reporting.
- Work with subject matter experts and project team to identify, define, collate, document, and communicate the data migration requirements.
- Manage assigned risks and monitor potential impacts as part of the data migration plan.
- Act as a liaison with partners for product issues.
- Develop best practice, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data migration activities.
- Consult with various stakeholders including subject matter experts, solution architects and external consultants to understand the source and target data models.
- Develop and maintain systems documentation for business processes, operational procedures, technical design, solution structure and functional know-how, etc.
- Ensures project deliverables adhere to broader technical strategy and that prioritization of features align with appropriate business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology including industry specific technical certifications.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in working with/on data warehouses, including data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with data modeling, data visualization, and building dashboards.
- Experience in big data, information retrieval, data mining or machine learning.
- Experience implementing BI tools including Tableau and Power BI.
- Experience with data management functions (collection, analysis, distribution, migration etc.).
- Ability to craft an engaging narrative backed with concise data visualizations to broad audiences.
- Understanding and experience with modern database and information system technologies.
- Experience in designing, planning, and managing data migration and assurance processes from legacy systems to next generation cloud-based platforms.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while handling time sensitive competing priorities.
- Ability to identify workflow pain points, optimize and scale processes.
- Works effectively cross functional teams to build trusted partnership.
- Self-starter and self-motivated with the proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum 5 years of experience specifying ETL source to target mappings, transformations, and reconciliation / validation rules.
- High proficiency of SQL and experience with platforms such as D365, AWS, Salesforce, and Azure Data Lake.
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or other leading enterprise databases desired.
- Experience in assessing and identifying data migration impacts across other workstreams within a business transformation program.
- Experience working with managed service providers, cloud services and hosted solutions and Windows server environments.
- Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Understanding of data storage, data backup/restore and identity management desired.
- Solid understanding of applications, data, integrations, and infrastructure architecture.
- Solid analytical skills, experience solving practical issues and engaging cross functional teams.
- Ability to lead discussion with business stakeholders and suggest holistic solutions/improvements for both technical strategy and business processes.
- Exhibits strong initiative; self-starter that can lead others in ambiguous situations.
- Ability to influence and drive others toward common goals.
- Leads by example creative and innovative idea generation and influences decisions across different teams.
- Business travel within Canada, US, Australia, and other countries may be required.
