Reporting to the ITS Director, the Team Lead, Solutions Architecture, provides technical and functional leadership over the cloud, web, and application technologies. This position works closely with key stakeholders and oversees the gathering of user requirements, develops proposals to meet business needs, and oversees the implementation of those approved and prioritized by the organization. The team lead is also responsible for recommending appropriate solutions and platforms based on the technology standards, policies, and roadmap.
Responsibilities:
- Offer consulting assistance to application specialists, technical architects, application developers, and business analysts involved in projects and ongoing improvement initiatives to guarantee that the results align with the broader enterprise architecture.
- Serve as the primary advisor for application and data infrastructure projects, ensuring that systems and infrastructure are in sync with the overall digital presence and data architecture requirements.
- Examine the business-IT landscape, encompassing operational, design, and delivery aspects, to identify critical shortcomings, integration issues, gaps, and downstream consequences, and then recommend solutions for enhancement.
- Supervise the documentation of solution architecture design, reporting assets, and related analysis work.
- Track the solution portfolio to spot deficiencies stemming from aging technologies used in applications or misalignment with business needs.
- Explore, suggest, and oversee the implementation of user-friendly reporting and analytics tools as well as the backend infrastructure to boost reporting and analytical capabilities.
- Provide comprehensive technological leadership for the planning, execution, management, and monitoring of the organizations' digital properties, including the Intranet, Provincial website, sub-group and local sites, and portals.
- Engage with stakeholders to identify opportunities for implementing AI solutions that cater to the evolving data and analytical requirements of the Association.
- Ensure that the business's collaboration technologies remain up-to-date and strategically positioned to meet current and future business demands.
Qualifications:

- Proficiency in both strategic and operational thinking.
- A Bachelor's degree in computer technology or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of three years of experience in Business Analysis or team leadership in a professional setting, with a focus on implementing new IT solutions and software.
- Possession of one or more of the following certifications: Agile Project Management, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, and/or Azure cloud certifications.
