POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking an Assembler 2 to join our team. This position is responsible for the assembly, the visual inspection, the testing and the packing of the electronic locks as per established instructions.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Prepare the assembly station as per requested on the production order slip
- Assemble the locks by positioning the parts per assembly instructions, by hand or with manual or electric tools, such as a screwdriver
- Test and verify that the lock works properly as per specifications
- Repair the defective locks by reassembling them or by replacing some of the parts
- Identify the defective components and complete the reject report
- Report difficulties and malfunctions or deviations on the assembly line
- Pack the locks
- Prepare sub-assemblies if needed
REQUIREMENTS
- High school degree (a must)
- Proficient manual dexterity and visual acuity (essential)
- Fast paced
- Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of assembly procedures
- Experience in assembly of many complex and diverse products
- Multitasked
- Able to use a pneumatic screwdriver
- Computer literacy (data entry)
- Team spirit
- Opened to cross training
- English or French
