The Human Resources team is looking for a new GIS Analyst to play a pivotal role in supporting the needs of our Service. About the Role – How you will Contribute to the Service:
The GIS Analyst will be responsible for map data and mapping applications within HRPS. Creates and maintains maps, map layers, interfaces, and mapping related data. Establishes and maintains HRPS owned GIS data relative to the Region of Halton and surrounding area. Optimizes HRPS mapping applications used in static and mobile environments.
What you will Bring to the Role:
Education, Certifications and Qualifications: Minimum 3 year community college diploma in a computer science, database/application development, or other related field. Database Administrator Certification or GIS Certification is required.
Previous Experience, Knowledge and Skills: Minimum of 3 years of related experience required in creating, developing and maintaining GIS databases and developing and maintaining map layer data. Demonstrated experience includes analysing GIS data, compiling and preparing geographical statistic reports based on spatial data.
