GFL is looking to hire a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team, working out of our Sarnia location and supporting surrounding areas. Acting as Coordinator Lead, you will be the first point of call to employees, managers, and external partners for al HR-related queries. Working across all HR functions and partnering with operations to facilitate programs and strategic initiatives, ensuring all HR operations run smoothly for all the assigned areas.
Key Responsibilities:

Execute human resources tactics, employee job change, employee relations, onboarding, terminations, exit interviews, etc. in accordance with Company procedures and applicable legal requirements

Leverage HR best practices and participates in collaboration within the region/group

Complete reports and information requests accurately and timely

Provide general information and assistance internally and externally over the phone, electronically and in person

Support effective implementation of HR program and initiatives

Provide support in special projects as assigned and other duties as required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
-
Degree or Diploma in Human Resources
-
Aptitude with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS (Workday preferred)

At least 1-2 years of relevant experience. Previous experience working in Human Resources department is an asset

Strong organizational, written, verbal and communication skills

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

A valid G driver’s license, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel to various office locations

Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
