Shimco is a world-leader in custom machined, precision components for the aerospace, defence, medical and industrial market spaces. Shimco is the only company of its kind in Canada and one of a dozen world-wide. Shimco has recently added a new metal surface treatment line at its Cambridge main plant, allowing it to be vertically integrated, further enhancing its customer offerings. OEMs and Tier 1 companies want a financially healthy "one stop shop", that can deliver extremely demanding parts 100% of the time and 100% on-time, and that is what we do.
We are on the edge of explosive growth, with forecasted sales to triple the company in 24 months. We have a need for a technically strong inside quoting engineer. The opportunities to make a mark on our growth are many, as we continue to expand both our current customer base of over 300 companies and expand the markets we serve.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare quotes to customers, using your strong technical skills and knowledge of our manufacturing processes
- Support Shimco’s clients with a quick response and attention to detail
- Always strive to over deliver what’s been promised

Preferred Skills and experience:
- Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineer preferred, as this role will require technical competency with very large OEMs and Tier 1 customers
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, including at least 1 year of technical sales experience
- Experience selling into the international aerospace and/or defence sectors preferred
- Preference given to individuals with experience with Catia and Top Solid
- Qualified to work for a Canadian Controlled Goods company
- Able to travel internationally

Salary: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
