We are currently seeking a full-time Machine Operator/Shipper-Receiver in our Pointe-Claire, Montreal facility. This is a bargaining position and the wage is based on the level of experience and the collective agreement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- handling repetitive, manual, lifting tasks
- consolidating and coordinating loads
- receiving and delivering goods
- loading trucks once orders are complete and unloading trucks
- operating cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks and carts/dollies
- visually checking/inspecting, locating and labelling all orders
- data entry of all orders into the computer
Skills and Qualifications:
- physically capable of handling repetitive, manual, lifting tasks
- dependable, quick-learner, flexible, and possess the ability to work collaboratively in a team
- ability to understand and follow-through with directions
- good written communication, oral communication and computer skills;
- prior manufacturing and shipping/receiving experience
- must be proficient with use of power and hand tools
- great interpersonal skills
- good team-working skills
