Position Overview
Our rapidly expanding team is seeking a Nurse Practitioner who can work for us on a part-time casual basis at our clinical research sitein Guelph. The Nurse Practitioner will assist the Investigator (MD) on day to day medical aspects of the clinical research studies. You will be responsible for conducting physical exams for subject eligibility and safety and assist with collection and review of medical history, review of blood workfor safety and provide medical oversight on specific study procedures.
PrimaryResponsibilities
Provide medical oversight on day to day operations in the clinic based on the clinical study design and subject scheduling which may include but is not limited to:
· Physical examinations
· Medications / medical history intake
· Subject notes
· Follow up / consults
· Study product administration and subject monitoring
· Punch biopsies
· Skin allergy tests
· Blood work review
Effectively communicate of relevant information to the Investigator with respect to subject eligibility for the clinical research study, adverse event, subject safety and compliance issues
Work with the clinic research team to ensure project timelines are met
Other duties as may be required & as training and experience allow
Maintains an attitudeand philosophy consistent with the Company's standards
Core Competencies:
Knowledge of GCP related regulatory requirements, Health Canada and ICH Guidelines. Understanding and working knowledge of ICH E6(R2). GCP training and other applicable training to ensure compliance with applicable local, federal and international clinical research guidelines and regulations will be provided to successful candidates.
High attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work in a team with efficiency and accuracy
Excellent interpersonal and public relation skills with ability to work well in a team
Knowledge of MS Office
Excellent computer skills
Qualifications
NP license required
Clinical research experience is an asset
