Recruiting & Training Manager Canada
As the Recruiting & Training Manager, you will oversee the vision and execution of national recruiting, hiring, and retention strategies for our Canadian based franchise locations as well as provide support, where needed, with RMT Training – working with our Trainer.
The primary focus of this role is the design and implementation of resources and tools that support our franchise spa leaders in their direct recruiting and hiring efforts, retention and training as well as managing national partnerships with industry leaders and schools.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement resources, tools, and strategies for franchisee sourcing and recruiting of massage therapists, estheticians, spa managers, and spa sales staff
· Develop and implement franchisee employee engagement and retention resources, tools, and strategies to support positive franchise employee relations
· Direct supervision of the recruiters and trainers
· Oversight of New Spa Opening recruiting support and processes
· Management of strategic national partnerships including industry experts, vendors, and schools
· Build and maintain a database of direct marketing and communication contacts
· Develop and execute national recruiting marketing plan including direct email, social media, and content creation collaboration with a focus on employer talent brand
· Participate in and support any committee that are set up to collect and implement insight from franchise members
· Attend trade and professional events/conferences to represent the Hand & Stone employer brand
· With the Director of Recruitment & Training, develop, implement, and adhere to Recruitment Operations Department budget
· Perform other related duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Abilities:
· 5+ years’ experience in recruiting, hiring, and/or employee retention, including direct recruiting and supervisory roles
· Experience using Applicant Tracking and Candidate Relationship Management systems
· Experience in survey and employee engagement/feedback design
· Previous experience in franchise environment as asset
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources
· Ability to travel as needed (up to 30%)
· Demonstrated ability to evaluate and balance team and individual workloads through effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
· Innovative attitude, stress resistant, strong team player, flexible.
· Ability to work with corporate management and employees, franchisees and strategic partners effectively
· Excellent verbal/written communication skills
· Independent worker; Logical thinker; Motivated to learn new subjects.

· Strong organization skills
· General computer and Microsoft Office knowledge
· Demonstrated effectiveness in coaching and motivating others
