Reporting to the Electrical Lead the Shop Technician will be responsible for the following:
- Intermediate Computer Skills- IWS is a computer-based company, proficient computer skills are a must
- Mechanically inclined – ability to work hand and power tools efficiently
- Multi-tasking – ability to work with conflicting priorities whilst under pressure
- Organization skills
- People skills – ability to work closely in a team environment

- Positive attitude, good work ethic and desire to take on new initiatives
- Pet friendly shop
Responsibilities:
- General cleaning and housekeeping of shop areas, workstations, and yard
- Assist with the wiring equipment and modules using a variety of hand and power tools
- Running and routing of cables to make bundles and install them in modules
- General shop duties including heat shrinking cable, aircraft cabling of caps, potting of electrical connectors, stocking inventory, and assisting co-workers with tasks
- Duties will be handled with appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Qualifications:
- Valid and current Class 5 Drivers License
- Forklift & Crane certifications preferred
- Must be willing and able to work through difficult weather conditions and challenging work site environments
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, moving equipment
- Proficient in mechanical and/or electrical systems
