The Banquet bartender provides an excellent guest experience by being able to create classic and innovative drinks while exceeding customers’ needs and expectations in both the Bar and the banquet area.
Duties and Responsibilities

Builds connections with the guests and ensures their beverage needs are fulfilled while creating a welcoming and unique guest experience

Accurately pour and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
-
Maintain and uphold current BC liquor laws and regulations through the practice of responsible alcohol service

Participate actively in a multi-functional work environment

Perform the Bartenders checklist, duties and steps of service

Perform all required closing duties
-
Assist in maintaining and controlling stock and inventory of bar

Perform and exceed the hotel standards
-
Work closely with other departments to optimize guest satisfaction, relative to food and beverage
-
Maintain safe/clean work area
-
Follow company policies & procedures as outlined in the Employee handbook, and can effectively communicate them to other team members

Understand and work in accordance with health and safety mandates
-
Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs
Qualifications
-
Experience in Food & Beverage service, including both bartending and serving, with a strong knowledge of the Food & Beverage service process.

Serving it right certificate required

Must have Serving-it-Right certificate

Possess a positive attitude and works well with other team members

Good interpersonal skills to enhance both the presentation and service standards

Excellent communication & guest service skills

Passionate about team and guest interaction

Physical requirements

Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, stoop and lift to 50 pounds (i.e. kegs and pails)
