Tri-global Solutions Group Inc. is seeking one (1) Grant Program Advisors to join our talented Service Delivery team at Ministry of Jobs, Economy and Northern Development (Government of Alberta) to provide grant support on programs such as, Alberta Jobs Now Program and Canada-Alberta Job Grant. This is backfill position and is available for an immediate start.
NOTES ON LOCATION: Resource will work remotely. Remote work must be done from within Alberta. Standard Hours of work are 08:15 -16:30 Alberta time. The client will provide equipment for the duration of this contract - candidate will pick up equipment from client office(s).

PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Ministry of Jobs, Economy and Northern Development ensures Alberta has a skilled workforce and safe, thriving workplaces to keep growing our economy.
Training and Employment Services (TES) branch delivers employment and training services to unemployed and/or underemployed Albertans. TES also delivers grant programs to fund employment and training projects for employers and Indigenous Albertans both on-and-off-reserve.
The Grant Program Advisors will help to deliver programs and services for Albertans that result in a productive workforce that meets the needs of the present and future economy. This is accomplished by delivering programs that support employer’s investment in training and hiring workers. The position will be responsible to ensure multi-million dollar grant funds are distributed according to identified parameters and guidelines, and that reporting and performance measures are accurately tracked. Strong relationship building skills will enable the position to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services.
1. Provide programs and services for Albertans that result in a productive workforce that meets the needs of the present and future economy by delivering programs.
Activities:
-Deliver grant programs by evaluating all required criteria and respond to questions of employers and other stakeholders.
2. Manage and monitor grants to achieve successful outcomes and meet key departmental performance targets.
Activities:
-Interpret and apply varied program policies and guidelines
-Proactively identify and resolve program delivery issues
-Address and resolve client issues/complaints related to program delivery, program quality and eligibility.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
You will be responsible for many functions such as client management, data validation, file management, processing received applications.
-Review and complete grant payments
-Deliver grant programs by evaluating all required criteria and respond to questions of employers and other stakeholders.
- Interpret and apply varied program policies and guidelines, working with individual stakeholders to proactively identify and address issues/problems to ensure defined results are achieved.
- Address and resolve client issues/complaints related to program delivery, program quality and eligibility.
- Gather input from stakeholders (i.e. employers, training providers), identify issues and prepare recommendations to resolve procedural and delivery problems.
- You will also complete reconciliation in a variety of government computer systems, testing and maintenance of systems and the process manual.
- You will also be integral in assisting in the application assessment process.
- You must be able to work independently, utilizing excellent time management, computer and interpersonal skills, as well as be an effective team member supporting Program staff and management.
- You will maintain the necessary program and system knowledge to support the delivery of programming. By doing this you will help ensure the Branch can meet processing targets.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Proposed resource must have relevant 4-year post-secondary education in business, public administration, political science and other relevant fields (4+ years)
- Demonstrated experience working in a role that required strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy (1+ years)
- Demonstrated experience with MS office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) (1+ years)
- Proposed resource must have experience working in a role that demonstrates proven ability to show initiative and exercise sound business judgement with decision making in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment (1+ years)
- Experience working in a role that required demonstrates customer service skills with clients (1+ years)
- Must reside in Province of Alberta for duration of the contract and be available to come on-site to pick-up equipment (in Edmonton, AB)
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM systems (1+ years)
- Demonstrated experience in grant program delivery at the municipal, provincial or Federal levels (0.5+ years)
- Demonstrated experience working in a role that required strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy (1+ years)
- Demonstrated experience working in a role that required demonstrates customer service skills with clients (1+ years)
- Demonstrated experience assessing program eligibility based on program guidelines (0.5+ years)
- Demonstrated experience working in a role that required excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work/tasks (1+ years)
