- Looking for a summer student who already lives in Yorkton, Saskatchewan or surrounding area.
- Under the direction of the new Director we are looking for self motivated, energetic, caring, patient, who love children and are playful individuals who are reliable and punctual.
- Follow the Saskatchewan licensee manual standards and policies to ensure safety and hygiene practices are always met
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care
- Prepare meals and organize mealtimes and snacks for children
- Help children keep good hygiene
- Change the diapers of infants and toddlers
- Organize activities or implement a curriculum that allow children to learn about the world and explore interests
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure that children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring the problems to the attention of parents
- Keep records of children’s progress, routines, and interest
- Observe the child and interpret the child’s needs
- Guide the children towards independent learning
- Help with material making, cleaning the classroom, repairing materials, clean up vomit, urine, feces, spills, meal prep
- In a Montessori classroom the adult is actually standing on the sidelines and letting the child explore and make their own discoveries
