We are seeking a Collections Coordinator to join the People Corporation team for a 12 month term in Winnipeg.
As a member of the Trust Accounting team, the Collections Coordinator is responsible for providing accurate, timely and relevant information to internal and external stakeholders of the company, which will be used to make informed decisions and safeguard intangible and tangible assets.
The Collections Coordinator is responsible to support the trust accounting functions including but not limited to; client accounting, exposure reporting, claims payment, corporate banking, and month end preparation.
- Perform batch based electronic banking entries/adjustments.
- Manage day to day banking and client receipts.
- Perform batch based electronic banking entries/adjustments.
- Review and pay claims for internal group benefit clients: day to day management of Telus Adjudicare EFT payment and bounce-backs.
- Manage all client account receivable balances, reporting, collection, and refund for terminated clients.
- Monitor and prepare client Self Insured Benefit Plan balances, deposits, plan reimbursements, and reconciliations.
- Communicate regularly with sales service office representatives as it relates to client payments, collections, manual invoicing, and ad-hoc reporting/problem solving.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including; Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large amounts of data, existing spreadsheets, and tracking documents.

- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to liaise effectively with various levels of management as well as ability to establish relationships with external suppliers and customers.
- Ability to work well within a team and displays a collaborative attitude.

- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.
