Position Summary:
As a Scheduling Coordinator for our Retail Tactical Department, you will play a critical role in managing the employee schedules to optimize staffing levels and maintain operational readiness. Your expertise in coordinating complex schedules and managing resources will directly impact our ability to deliver top-notch security services to our retail clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for dealing with afterhours books offs, ensuring that staffing remains sufficient even during unexpected absences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain effective employee schedules for the Retail Tactical Department, considering business needs, operational requirements, and employee availability. Collaborate closely with department managers and client liaisons to understand client needs and ensure appropriate staffing coverage. Manage time-off requests, ensuring that staffing remains sufficient during absences and high-demand periods. Handle afterhours books offs, communicating with security personnel and finding suitable replacements to maintain operational readiness. Maintain clear and timely communication with security personnel, keeping them informed of schedule changes and adjustments. Monitor and track employee attendance, addressing any issues that may impact operational efficiency. Work closely with the HR team to ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations concerning scheduling and employee rights. Identify opportunities to streamline scheduling processes and implement improvements for greater efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Security Management, or related field preferred. Proven experience in scheduling and resource coordination, preferably in a security or retail setting. Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with security personnel and management. Proficiency in using scheduling software and time-tracking systems. A keen eye for detail and the ability to address scheduling conflicts and challenges proactively. Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and adjust scheduling as required. Knowledge of labor laws and regulations related to scheduling and employee rights is a plus.
