What will you do?
Acts as a member of the project core team with special focus on failure prevention and project specific quality requirements.
The QMiP facilitates problem-solving and continuous improvement in all Customer Project phases by presenting lessons learned from other projects and through process improvement. This role will support Customer Projects in Canada, projects with global teams, and projects across other internal divisions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures cross-functional cooperation with Procurement, Logistics, R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and relevant suppliers to achieve quality business goals.
- Adapts and provides a project-specific management system including project documentation, regulations, methods and IT tools, following a risk-based approach.
- Acts as contact person for all project-related quality and process issues
- Monitors and supports project milestones and readiness checks together with the Project Manager
- Ensures professional non-conformance (NC) management.
- Supports the Project Manager’s efforts to prepare quality-related project reports, including collating and documenting project experiences (Lessons Learned).
- Drives lessons learned across projects.
- Ensures the implementation and improvement of project quality reporting as integrated part of project reporting.
- Contributes to project planning to ensure that project-specific, quality-relevant requirements are considered starting with sales phase.
What will you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent – technical degree (electrical or mechanical an asset)
- PMP or equivalent, beneficial
- Bilingual is ESSENTIAL – French & English
- 3-5 years experience in quality management and continuous improvement.
- Experience with Key Performance Indicators, routine reporting, and actions to drive improvement
- Willing to pursue new and creative ideas through critical thinking and organizational skills
- Internal ISO 9001 auditor certified and/or experience in conducting audits is an asset
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint) and Office 365
- Self-motivated, discrete, diligent with great attention to detail.
- Committed to collaboration and ability to thrive in a virtual and fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The successful candidate for this position must be bilingual. Fluency in French and English (verbal and written) is required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position for the following reason(s):
- The role requires interacting with English-speaking customers and suppliers across Canada and/or internationally
- The role requires regular interactions with Siemens colleagues based outside of Quebec, nationally and internationally
